Poached Pear Tequila Spritz
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz El Mayor® Cristalino Tequila
- 2 oz Poached Pear Juice
- 3/4 oz Ginger Simple Syrup
- 3 Sage Leaves
- Top with Club Soda

Instructions:
- In a cocktail shaker add ice, tequila, pear juice, ginger simple syrup, and sage leaves.
- Shake for 30 seconds.
- Double strain into cocktail glass with ice.
- Top with Club Soda
POACHED PEAR JUICE
- Zest of 1 Lemon
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks, broken in half
- 1/4 Tsp Ground Allspice
- 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 3 Cups Apple Cider
- 1 Cup Water
- 4-5 Pears (with stems), peeled and cored from bottom
In a large saucepan, add lemon zest, cinnamon stick, allspice, brown sugar, apple cider, and water. Cover pears with wax paper to prevent discoloration or pour a little lemon juice over the pears. Add pears to the saucepan and bring to a simmer. Cook, turning pears occasionally, about 20 minutes. Remove pears from liquid; transfer to a large bowl. Use poached pears as you’d like. Take the poached pear juice in the saucepan, transfer to the desired glass and use for the cocktail.
